Province builds on work of Affordable Housing Commission

I am pleased to see the Province continuing to build on the work of the Affordable Housing Commission.

The Commission was established by former Premier Stephen McNeil to engage with experts and stakeholders across the province. The Commission’s work was championed by former Premier Iain Rankin which helped lay the ground work for the progress being made now.

The extension of rent control to the end of 2023 will provide the Province with some time to address the issue of supply in the affordable housing crisis. Urgency remains and I will continue to advocate on behalf of all my constituents to ensure that all the people of Bedford South have an affordable place to live.
